Overview

The Carbon Fiber Side Splitters complete the aerodynamic appearance of the Porsche 987 — designed to look the part and work, with CFD used to confirm on-track performance.

They help seal high-pressure air from reaching the underside of the car, reducing lift. Constructed from pre-preg carbon fiber for an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, with in-house scan data giving a near-OEM fit and finish.

The Engineering

The side splitters improve downforce by reducing spillage of high-pressure air from the top side of the car to the underbody, raising overall vehicle efficiency. The effect is most pronounced when the car is turning or in yaw.
