Overview

The Shelby GT350 comes with a well-designed diffuser from the factory. This kit takes Ford's design a step further by adding vertical fences — strakes — which increase downforce production from the diffuser with no negative impact on drag, raising overall vehicle efficiency.

State-of-the-art analysis software was used during R&D, and OEM scan data obtained in-house produced a solution that fits like an OE part. The subtle strake design keeps an OEM-like appearance.

Fitment: compatible with the Mach 1 with minor modifications to the install process.

The Engineering

The strakes block the horseshoe vortices forming at the rear wheels from disrupting flow out of the diffuser. They also improve diffuser efficiency by controlling the volume of flow leaving it and generating vortices that promote attached diffuser flow — maximizing what the factory diffuser can do.
