Overview

The Verus Engineering Rear Diffuser combines function, form and science on the S550 Mustang. State-of-the-art analysis software was used during R&D to extract more performance from the available build volume, increasing downforce and reducing drag. In-house scan data gives a near-OEM fit and finish.

The non-aggressive strake design keeps the rear end subtle and clean.

Fitment: a direct bolt-on for the regular S550 chassis. It works with the GT350, GT350R and Mach 1 differential cooler when combined with the Verus install kit, and fits GT500s with minimal modification.

The Engineering

The diffuser decreases overall lift and reduces drag on the S550 chassis, improving aerodynamic efficiency. Its strakes create vortices that keep flow attached to the diffuser surface, generating a low-pressure zone at the rear to complement the splitter's low-pressure zone at the front — a well-proportioned aerodynamic balance.
