Overview

The C8 Corvette is an engineering marvel, but its designers left room for aerodynamic enhancement — and a rear diffuser is the natural starting point, because properly designed diffusers are extremely efficient downforce producers.

This one adds stability by creating low pressure on the underside and reduces drag by shrinking the wake region behind the car. Scan data, CAD and OpenFOAM analysis produced a functional diffuser with an exotic appearance matching the Stingray's design language — and higher peak performance than an aluminum equivalent.

The body is 2x2 twill autoclave-cured carbon fiber finished in automotive clear coat. The whole unit bolts to chassis locations through multiple sheet metal brackets — no drilling or fabrication required.

The Engineering

The diffuser conforms to the car's body lines while delivering real performance — low pressure underneath adds stability, and a smaller wake region reduces the force pulling the car rearward. As the cornerstone of the Ventus kits, it works with the rest of the aero package to add significant downforce, reducing lap times and increasing corner speeds.
