When You Need One

• Second vehicle — leave a mount in each car and move the camera between them in seconds, rather than re-taping every time
• Replacement — mounts get damaged during removal, or the ball joint wears loose over years of adjustment
• Windscreen replacement — the old mount rarely comes off the glass intact

Keeping a spare mount in a second car is the practical reason most people buy these. At $14.99 it's cheaper than a second camera and takes moments to swap.

Fitting

Clean the glass with isopropyl alcohol first and apply above roughly 15°C. Press firmly for 30 seconds, then leave it an hour before hanging the camera.
