The U3000 PRO front camera records 4K UHD using Sony's STARVIS 2 IMX678 sensor — the top of Thinkware's current single-channel range.

STARVIS 2 Sensor

At speed or against reflective surfaces, the detail that matters most stays legible. License plates remain readable rather than smearing into the frame, which is the whole point of a dash cam when you actually need the footage.

HDR Processing

High Dynamic Range processing adjusts for bright and dark areas simultaneously, holding balanced exposure through tunnel entrances, low sun and night driving where a single-exposure camera would blow out or lose the shadows entirely.
