When You Need It

Adhesive tape is the part everyone forgets. You'll want a fresh piece if you're:

• Moving a camera to a different vehicle
• Repositioning after the first attempt sits crooked or blocks your view
• Refitting after windscreen replacement
• Re-securing a mount that's let go in summer heat

The original tape rarely survives removal intact, and generic double-sided tape isn't a substitute — automotive glass gets hot enough to defeat it, and a camera falling onto the dashboard at speed is a genuine hazard.

Fitting Tips

Clean the glass with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry fully before applying. Above roughly 15°C is ideal; in cold weather warm the glass first or the bond won't take. Press firmly for 30 seconds and leave it an hour before hanging the camera on it.
