Suspension Secrets Uprated Spring Package — Porsche 981 / 718 Cayman GT4

As standard, the GT4 suffers rear axle instability, especially obvious when pushed hard on track. Front and rear spring rates aren't perfectly matched for optimum chassis balance and damper efficiency — the rear axle is over-sprung and underdamped, causing a hopping and skipping effect through corners that reduces driver confidence. The standard front springs are also too soft, letting the front compress and unsettle the rear.

These uprated rates soften the rear axle slightly and stiffen the front slightly — matching the rear springs to the OEM dampers to remove the skipping effect, and reducing front dive under heavy braking to keep the rear wheels planted and turn-in stable.
