Description
Overview
Verus Engineering started this wing with a clean-slate approach, using an in-house airfoil profile created with the ANSYS adjoint solver. The result is a highly efficient wing generating downforce appropriate for the typical track-day driver and street enthusiast. A swan neck mounting style keeps efficiency high by feeding the wing clean airflow, unlike typical bottom-mount rear wings.
The low drag this wing produces suits the ZN6/ZC6 chassis particularly well given the FA20's modest stock output — corner speeds increase without a large hit to straight-line top speed.

The Engineering
Designed for the FT86 enthusiast wanting more rear downforce for track days without substantially hurting fuel economy or ruining straight-line top speed. The mounts sit in the strongest location on the trunk and are reinforced to help prevent trunk damage. The uprights were optimized using CFD and FEA for efficient airflow in both straight-line and yaw conditions while remaining strong enough to carry the wing loads. Verus CFD data and real-world experimental data correlate closely.
