Overview

Finishing what Porsche started, these panels fill the void in the 981's underbody. The middle of a car generates drag, and covering those turbulent areas with flat sheet aluminum reduces it significantly. Cleaner airflow to the rear diffuser also lets the diffuser work better.

Produced from sheet aluminum and powder-coated durable black. Pair with the Verus rear diffuser to reduce lift and drag simultaneously.

CFD estimates the panels reduce the coefficient of drag by 0.007 — 7 points.

Note: works with other Porsche 981 models, but takes slight modification to mount.

The Engineering

The panels cover a large gap between the belly pan and the rear diffuser, decreasing underbody drag and improving the diffuser's ability to function. Part of both the Ventus 1 and Ventus 2 packages for the 981 GT4 — Ventus 1 adds downforce with minimal drag increase, Ventus 2 goes considerably further on downforce for drivers wanting the most from their car and tires.
