Description
Overview
The Verus Engineering Flat Underbody Panels finish what Mazda started, filling the voids in the Miata's underbody. The middle of a car creates significant drag, and closing these areas cuts it.
State-of-the-art analysis software was used during R&D to extract more performance from the available build volume. In-house scan data gives a near-OEM fit and finish.
Built for owners looking to get the most from their front splitter and rear diffuser.
Note: does not fit automatic transmission cars.

The Engineering
Simple in operation: the panels reduce the car's coefficient of drag by 0.010 — 10 points — by cutting turbulence in an otherwise open section of underbody. With rake, that flat area starts acting as a diffuser, adding downforce. Each panel carries a small wicker and cut-out for exhaust and transmission heat extraction to keep underbody temperatures reasonable.
