Overview

The C8's brake cooling ducts are, in Verus's assessment, somewhat overengineered. Once the car is upgraded to bigger brakes with extra thermal capacity, those ducts may be more than the car needs.

Blocking them off holds a higher concentration of high-pressure air at the front of the bumper around the duct area, and low-pressure air at the leading edge of the nose and underneath the splitter. On a car equipped with the Ventus 3 package, this simple modification increased total downforce by 4%, reduced total drag by 0.8%, and increased front balance by 5%.

Installation is simple and completely reversible.
