About Bilstein B8 Performance Plus (DampTronic)
B8 Performance Plus dampers are the shortened version of Bilstein's sport dampers, with a piston rod about 20 mm shorter than the equivalent B6, so a lowered car keeps its bump travel. The DampTronic name marks parts for cars with factory electronic damper control, so check the fitment details above against your car.
Bilstein was founded in 1873 in Altenvoerde (today Ennepetal), Germany. In 1957 it introduced the first series-production monotube gas-pressure shock absorber, fitted to a Mercedes-Benz.
