About Bilstein B8 Performance Plus

B8 Performance Plus dampers are the shortened version of Bilstein's sport dampers, with a piston rod about 20 mm shorter than the equivalent B6, so a lowered car keeps its bump travel. The (SP) tag in the listing is how our distributor labels this version.

Bilstein was founded in 1873 in Altenvoerde (today Ennepetal), Germany. In 1957 it introduced the first series-production monotube gas-pressure shock absorber, fitted to a Mercedes-Benz.
