About Bilstein B8 Performance Plus
B8 Performance Plus dampers are the shortened version of Bilstein's sport dampers, with a piston rod about 20 mm shorter than the equivalent B6, so a lowered car keeps its bump travel.
Bilstein was founded in 1873 in Altenvoerde (today Ennepetal), Germany. In 1957 it introduced the first series-production monotube gas-pressure shock absorber, fitted to a Mercedes-Benz.
