AMSOIL SEVERE GEAR 75W-90 is a 100% synthetic gear lube built for high-load, severe-duty use. It suits cars and trucks in general and is especially well matched to towing, hauling, racing and commercial work. It comes in a 1 quart Easy-Pack pouch.

What it does

• Wear protection: high film strength for high loads, plus proprietary additives that lay an iron-sulfide barrier on gear surfaces against wear, pitting and scoring. It holds its viscosity and helps prevent thermal runaway, the rapid breakdown that happens when a lubricant cannot control friction and heat under heavy stress.
• Temperature extremes: it resists breakdown from high heat, which keeps acids and carbon or varnish from forming, and its wax-free construction improves cold flow, which AMSOIL says helps fuel economy and cold-weather shifting.
• Also protects against rust and corrosion, helps reduce operating temperatures and extends oil, seal and equipment life. It contains friction modifiers for limited-slip applications.
