Overview

The Drag Wing for the Mk5 Supra is engineered to do both jobs at once: reduce drag, making the car more slippery in a straight line, and increase downforce for traction and stability. More downforce means more traction and control; less drag means better acceleration and top speed.

The airfoil was optimized using state-of-the-art analysis software, catering specifically to high-horsepower drag and top-speed racers. It mounts to the factory trunk to manage the additional downforce, and in-house scan data gives an OEM fit and finish.

It pairs well with the Verus Rear Diffuser, further reducing drag and providing the rear grip needed to lower ETs and keep driver confidence on the top end.

Verus's own note: it's more accurate to call it a spoiler, but wing sounds cooler.

The Engineering

The design goal was to significantly reduce drag while substantially increasing rear downforce — achieving a 19-point decrease in drag alongside an even larger gain in downforce applied to the rear axle. Combined with the Rear Diffuser kit, drag drops substantially while a small amount of downforce is added, reducing drag ETs and increasing driver confidence. The added downforce gives the rear tires more tractive force, improving acceleration and reducing wheelspin, while the drag reduction boosts top speed.
