Overview

The Ventus 2 package delivers a substantial increase in downforce for a small drag penalty over Ventus 1, and improves total aerodynamic efficiency (L/D) compared to both OEM and Ventus 1.

It builds on Ventus 1 by adding a front splitter and side splitters. Front splitters produce front-end downforce with minimal drag increase by creating a large pressure delta between their top and bottom surfaces — this one greatly increases front grip when paired with the dive planes.

The side splitters flow with the factory side skirt and feature a horizontal member that reduces high-pressure air reaching the underside of the car. That air produces lift, so reducing it reduces lift on the chassis, particularly in yaw.

Every product was developed with in-house scan data, CAD and CFD analysis, giving an OEM-like fit and finish.

The Engineering

Ventus 2 was designed for the owner wanting a forward-biased aerodynamic package that enhances efficiency without a rear wing. The front splitter and side splitters add significant downforce, reducing lap times and increasing corner speed.

Verus uses OpenFOAM for all CFD work, validated on and off track, with vehicle models obtained by scanning and reverse engineering their development cars.
